Race Expo and Packet Pickup

Times: 12:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Location: Boutwell Auditorium, 1930 Rev. Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd.

Entrance into the Race Expo is free to the public. We’ll have 40 plus vendors with some great running gear/accessories and other fun items in addition to our Beer Garden sponsored by Good People Brewing Company.  Race packet pickup for our 5K, Half, Full and Marathon Relay takes place on the auditorium stage passed the vendors. Kids Marathon packet pickup is located in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama expo booth.

6:30 a.m. – 7:30 a.m. - Saturday

Race Day Packet Pickup & Registration

Location:  Linn Park, Downtown Birmingham

8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

Linn Park.  There is a 1-hour time limit

9:30 a.m.

Awards Ceremony to be held in Boutwell Auditorium.  First Come, first serve for chicken biscuits along with a chance to win a Regions Green Bike. 

The Bell Center EIP Children’s Run

10:00 a.m.- Saturday

Location: Linn Park, Downtown Birmingham

 Enjoy watching the children from our local charity conquer 50 feet and cross the finish line for their Mercedes-Benz Marathon Bling!  It’s the event of the weekend that you do not want to miss.

 

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Kids Mercedes-Benz Marathon

11:00 – 12:30 p.m. - Saturday

Location:  Linn Park, Downtown 

The 5th graders will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by descending grades in 10 minute increments.

Sunday, February 21

NO Race Day Registration or Packet Pickup

Don’t forget to bring your race bib with attached timing device.  You must wear your bib to officially be on the course!

 

Bag Check Drop off

6:00 a.m. – 6:45 a.m.

Location: Inside Boutwell Auditorium, but access to the area is on east side of the building between Boutwell and the Museum of Art.  

Bag Check will close at 1:30 p.m. All items must be in a clear plastic bag.  Bag check is not intended to store valuable items. We will not be held responsible. 

Worship Service

6:15 am – 6:45 a.m.

Location: In Boutwell Auditorium on the stage. Access to the stage in the morning is down the left corridor.  Please do not attempt to walk through the main auditorium.  They will be setting up for Post Race Party. 

A non-denominational service led by South Highland Presbyterian Church.

 

RACE START

7:03 a.m.

Location: Linn Park, Downtown Birmingham

The Half Marathon has a four hour time limit. The Marathon and Marathon Relay have a six hour time limit.

Jim ‘N Nick’s Post Race Block Party

9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Location: Boutwell Auditorium, 1930 Rev. Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd.

Begins at 9:30 a.m. Put your party shoes on!

Awards Ceremony

11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Half Marathon Overall & Marathon Overall  Announced

12:00 p.m.

Half Marathon age group winners will be posted.  If you're a winner, please pick up your award in the stage area during this time. They will not be announced. 

 

1:00 p.m.

Marathon Age Group and Marathon Relay

Marathon Age Group will not be announced.  They will be posted and you can pick up your award during this time in the stage area.  Marathon Relay winners will be announced.  

 If you think you're a contender for an award, please adjust your travel plans accordingly for our awards presentation.  If that isn't possible, we'll be happy to mail your award. Shipping cost is $12.  Please contact us at [email protected]  If you're local, the awards will be at the Homewood Trak Shak store beginning post race Wednesday and will remain there for two weeks.
