UAB Eye Callahan Hospital & Clinics Race Expo and Packet Pickup

Times: 12:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Entrance into the Race Expo is free to the public. We’ll have 40 plus vendors with some great running gear/accessories and other fun items in addition to our Beer Garden sponsored by Good People Brewing Company.  Race packet pickup for our 5K, Half, Full and Marathon Relay takes place on the auditorium stage passed the vendors. Kids Marathon packet pickup is located in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama expo booth.

Due to security issues with official race bibs, we have implemented an INDIVIDUAL PACKET PICKUP POLICY. We will no longer be able to let one person pick up multiple packets. Each individual must also present their photo ID and race number confirmation email to our volunteers. Family members may pick up their 18 year old or younger child's race packet. Thank you for understanding our new security policy.

Race Day Packet Pickup & Registration

Race begins at Railroad Park. There is a 1-hour time limit

Enjoy watching the children from our local charity conquer 50 feet and cross the finish line for their Mercedes-Benz Marathon Bling!  It’s the event of the weekend that you do not want to miss.


Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama Kids Mercedes-Benz Marathon

11:00 – 12:30 p.m. - Saturday

Location:  Railroad Park

The 5th graders will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by descending grades in 10 minute increments.


Sunday, February 16

NO Race Day Registration or Packet Pickup

Don’t forget to bring your race bib with attached timing device.  You must wear your bib to officially be on the course!


Bag Check Drop off

6:00 a.m. – 6:45 a.m.

Bag Check will close at 1:30 p.m. All items must be in a clear plastic bag.  Bag check is not intended to store valuable items. We will not be held responsible. 

Worship Service

6:15 am – 6:45 a.m.

Location: To Be Determined

A non-denominational service led by South Highland Presbyterian Church.



7:03 a.m.

Location: 14th St. S. between Good People Brewery and 1st Ave. N.

The Half Marathon has a four hour time limit. The Marathon and Marathon Relay have a six hour time limit.

 If you think you're a contender for an award, please adjust your travel plans accordingly for our awards presentation.  If that isn't possible, we'll be happy to mail your award. Shipping cost is $12.  Please contact us at  If you're local, the awards will be at the Homewood Trak Shak store beginning post race Wednesday and will remain there for two weeks.
